Iva Mary (Monday) Greenwood

Mrs. Iva Mary Monday Greenwood, age 93, of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, at Surry Community Health and Rehab in Mount Airy.  Mrs. Greenwood was born in Carroll County, Virginia on May 5, 1929, to the late James Kelly and Nettie Easter Monday.  Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She was a faithful member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church while her health permitted.  Mary will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  She is survived by a daughter Joyce Greenwood Perry; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Greenwood and Sharon, Danny Greenwood; one grandson, Timothy Greenwood; and one great-grandchild, Keely Greenwood.  Mrs. Greenwood was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Harding Greenwood, a grandson, Brian Greenwood, daughter-in-law, Ann Greenwood, a son-in-law, Bob Perry; four sisters, Eunice Monday Gunnell, Nancy Monday Casstevens, Martha Monday, Pearl Monday; four brothers, Cecil Monday, Rufus Monday, Jim Monday and Willie Monday.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Rev. David Sechrist officiating.  Interment will follow in Skyline Memory Garden.  No formal visitation will be held.  The arrangements for Mrs. Greenwood have been entrusted to Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy.
