Iva Lucille Puckett Marshall

Mrs. Iva Lucille Puckett Marshall, 92, of 203 Ridgeview Road, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009, at her home. She was born November 26, 1917, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Patred Matthew and Ina Marshall Puckett. She retired from Cross Creek Apparel and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mount Airy. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Detra Lynne and Michael A. Pattillo of Lilburn, GA; two grandchildren, Mary Lynne Pattillo and Shannon Marshall Pattillo, both of Tucker, GA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband, Durward Marshall; a sister, Vida Puckett Francis; and two brothers, Volney Puckett and Vestal Puckett. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Roger B. Gilbert officiating. Entombment will follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
