Ivagene Lewis Cave

Mrs. Ivagene Lewis Cave, age 84, of Dobson, passed away Wednesday July 21, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born October 13, 1936, in Surry County to the late John Samuel Lewis and the late Ivory Dorothy Marion Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Wade and Mary Riggs, who raised her. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 66 years, James Edward Cave; daughters, Donna Cave Davis, Barbara Cave Smith; sons, Gayle Edward Cave, James Kenneth Cave; grandchildren, Randall James Cave , Amanda Gayle Evans, Michelle Hill, Kayla Davis, Lewis Mitchell Smith; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Alan Gordon; brother, Delmar Lewis; and canine companions, Bentley and Corbin. Mrs. Cave was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-great grandmother, and was a retired farmer, and homemaker. Visitation will be Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 2-3:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church. The service will start at 3:00 P.M. in the church with Rev. Trent Lyons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 818 Prison Camp Road, Dobson NC 27017.
