Mr. J. William Wolfe, age 74, of Dobson, NC passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Surry Co., NC on March 9, 1942 to the late John William and Huldah Davis Wolfe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Garris Wolfe; one grandson Shadoe Wolfe; five sisters, Opal Carpenter, Marie Atkins, Viola Willard, Lena Mae Gilley, and Louise Patterson; three brothers, Allen Wolfe, Fred Wolfe, and Robert Wolfe. He was retired from Wayne Farms and was a member of Second Chance Church. Surviving are his two daughters and son-in-law, Aline and Vicente Vargas of Elkin, Sherry Carrasco of Dobson; one son, Shonnie Wolfe of Youngsville, NC; seven grandchildren, Sam (Rod) Pozo, Chris Pozo, Michele Pozo, Brandon Wolfe, J. William Wolfe II, Tshonia Wolfe, Luke Wofe; eight great-grandchildren, Bobby Avery, Gabrielle Shively, Veronica Bowman, Caleb Pozo, Samantha Pozo, Christian Pozo, Kaylee Pozo, and Kaylyn (UMPA) Pozo; one sister-in-law, Geneva Wolfe; one brother-in-law, Glenn Patterson; loving companions, Minnie, Moo Moo, and Raven. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Second Chance Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Terry Coe, Rev. Butch Holder, Rev. Ricky Whitaker will conduct the services. His body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson until carried to lie in state 30 min. before the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
