Mr. Jack Monroe Dollyhigh, 70, of Mount Airy, passed away early Thursday morning, March 7, 2019, at his home.  Mr. Dollyhigh was born June 25, 1948, in Surry County, one of eleven children born to the late Brady Beamer and Ethel Lambert Dollyhigh.  Jack retired as a foreman from Brintle Electric Service Company and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.  He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pamela Hill Dollyhigh of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Troy and Tara Dollyhigh of Browns Summit and Trent and Marianna Dollyhigh of Gainesville, GA; two daughters, Candace Dollyhigh Hawks and Candra Dollyhigh, both of Mount Airy; thirteen grandchildren, Ethan Dollyhigh, Caden Dollyhigh, Sophie Dollyhigh, Azuree Dollyhigh, Henry Dollyhigh, Diego Dollyhigh, Emma Dollyhigh, Brady Dollyhigh, Maddie Dollyhigh, Luke Dollyhigh, Annie Dollyhigh, Sazo Dollyhigh, and Laelyn Hawks; a sister, Mary McMillian of Mount Airy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Girlene Dollyhigh and Bill and Brenda Dollyhigh, all of Mount Airy; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Dollyhigh was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Irene Dollyhigh, Gladys Childress, and Dorothy Shinault; and four brothers, Odis Winfred Dollyhigh, Ervin Gray Dollyhigh, Archie Ray Dollyhigh, and Chester Lee Dollyhigh.  The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019, at 4:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church, with Troy Dollyhigh, the Rev. David Powell, and the Rev. Jay Worsley officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 3:45 PM at Salem Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jack Monroe Dollyhigh Scholarship Fund at Salem Christian Academy, 430 Rockford Road, Dobson, NC  27017; or Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC  27030.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the family.
