Jack Monroe Duncan

Mr. Jack Monroe Duncan age 64 of 196 Woodcreek Drive, Mt. Airy, NC husband of Mrs. Charlotte Sargent Duncan passed away Saturday morning, April 26, 2008 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born August 30, 1943 in Ellicott City, MD to the late Simon and Gertie Wood Duncan. He was a member of Friendly Chapel Church and was a retired car detailer. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte S. Duncan of the home, two daughters and a son-in-law, Sheila and Bryan Harris, Mt. Airy, and Cathy Durham, Daytona Beach, FL., three grandchildren, Joshua Harris and Katie Harris both of Mt. Airy, and Bobbie Jean Durham, Daytona Beach, FL, three sisters, Irene Thompson, Mary Lou Marion and Helen Thomas all of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Wright and a brother, Lewis Duncan. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 28, 2008 at Peoples Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Eugene Brinkley and Bro. Don Collins. Burial will follow in Peoples Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home 9:30 AM Monday until time for Mr. Duncan to be taken to the cemetery for the service.
