Jack William Griffith, Sr

Mr. Jack William Griffith, Sr., 81, of Asheboro, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008, at Sunbridge of Asheboro. Mr. Griffith was born November 15, 1926, in Surry County, to James and Zula Griffith. He served our country in the United States Army, was a retired electrician, and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Sue Griffith of Blowing Rock; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack William Griffith, Jr. and Rhonda of Archdale; three grandchildren, Terry Beasley, Jr., Corey William Griffith, and Daylon Ryley Griffith, all of Archdale; and a sister. In addition to his parents, Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by a son, Craig Griffith; a special companion, Mary Lambeth; two brothers; and a sister. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Oaklawn Cemetery, with military honors by Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro.
