Mr. Jack Milton Hardy of Siloam passed away Monday, December 14, 2020, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born May 16, 1939, in Surry County to the late James Harbour Hardy and Martha Columbia Bowman Hardy. He was preceded in death by his four brothers and an infant sister. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Tammy Hardy Hunter and Candy and Ritchie Day. Mr. Hardy was a “Papaw” to three grandchildren; Brett Hardy Johnston, Trenton Jack Day (Cheyenne), and Brennan Marie Day, and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his two sisters, Kaye White and Judy Hardy. He was a retired farmer, sheet metal operator/welder, and operated a small upholstery business from his home. Mr. Hardy was an avid Braves fan and could recite almost all Bonanza episodes from memory. He was a faithful and active member of Siloam Baptist Church, where he served on several committees. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 18, 2020, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Siloam Baptist Church. Funeral Services will start at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jarred Seal, Rev. Bill Faw, and Rev. Stewart Mauck officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions in place by the governor; please wear a mask if you plan to attend the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Susan Duncan, 6909 Siloam Road, Siloam NC 27047.
