Jack Leon Watson

Mr. Jack Leon Watson, 77, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at Golden Living Nursing Home. He was born in Surry County on May 16, 1939 to the late Joseph Eddie and Zella Irene Venable Watson. Mr. Watson was retired from Bray’s Recapping. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Slate and Tommy, Penny Flippen and Greg all of Mt. Airy; three grandchildren and spouses, Josh Slate and Deidra, Khristy Pedrotty and Brian. Tisha Hawks and John; four great grandchildren and one on the way; special friends, Kenny Kallam and Teddy Pettry. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Hutchens-Venable family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM until time for the service at Moody Funeral home in Mt. Airy.
