Jackie Faye Gilley Bennett

Mrs. Jackie Faye Gilley Bennett, age 85, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021, at her home. She was born in Surry County on February 7, 1936, to the late Walter and Pearl Long Gilley. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 67 years and 11months, Bill Bennett; sons, Brian Bennett and fiancé Bobbie Hinton, Ed Bennett; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Chris Bunting; grandchildren Brooke Crisp (Zach), Brett Bennett (Sam), Bradley Bennett (Anna), Gilleyn Bunting; great-grandchildren, Bo Bennett, Millie Bennett, Leo Crisp, Charlie Crisp. In addition to her parents Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by sisters, Margie Whitaker, Ruth Shelton, Kathleen Davis, Betty Thomas; brothers, James Gilley, Walter Gilley, Herbert Gilley. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Dr. Jonathan Casstevens. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
