Jackie Anne Johnson Cave

Jackie Anne Johnson Cave, 83, of Dobson, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Born July 28, 1941, in Surry County to the late Harvey and Ollie Johnson. Mrs. Cave saw the best in everyone and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Jackie was a faithful Christian, and devoted member of Salem Fork Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Elden Alfred Cave; son and daughter-in-law, Elden Cave Jr. and Tonya; grandsons, Austin Cave, and Michael "Nelson" Cave; sisters and brother-in-law, Judy Welch, and Shelba Whitaker and Don; as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Todd Cave; brother, Edsel Johnson; sister, Archie Johnson Cox; and brother-in-law, Charles Welch. A funeral service will take place Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Salem Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Sean Joplin and Rev. Terry Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 until 12:00 on Saturday. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care at 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
