Jacob Roy Smith

Jacob Roy Smith, age 17, of Ararat, VA, went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2013. Jacob was born in Surry County on September 4, 1996 to Ricky and Judy Smith. Jacob had a playful spirit, was kind and loving and always full of joy and excitement. He loved the outdoors and working with his dad and brothers. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving parents, his sister and brothers who he had such a strong bond with, Jill Smith; Dusty Smith and Sonny Smith; his grandparents, Jeanne and Truman Roy Marshall and Roy and Geraldine Smith; aunts, uncles, cousins and so many very special friends including Mark Willard and the "4 X 4 Boys". Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Guy Mabe. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the family home and the family will receive friends at the home beginning at noon.
