James Fitzgerald Angell

Mr. James Fitzgerald Angell, age 58, of State Road , NC, passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2024 at his residence.   James was born May 10, 1965, in Davie County to the late Rufus Angell and the late Stella Brown Angell.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Novak and a grandson, Paxton Hall.  James was employed by Allura and was a member of Mountain Park Baptist Church.  He loved his church family and community, especially taking care of the elderly, helping them with their yardwork or other projects.  He had a true servant’s heart.  He loved the outdoors and especially loved to hunt and also was very talented in the kitchen.  He loved to make pies.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Ellen Harris Angell; children, Nathan Key, Bridget Hall and husband, Shane, Allison Angell; grandchildren, Riley Key, Korbyn Key, Zoe Hall; sisters, Diane Miller, Lisa Angell; nephew, Stephen Chipman and many special friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Angell will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 11:00 am at Mountain Park Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Henderson and Rev. Granville Branch officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am in the church.   Burial will follow in the Mountain Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Park Baptist Church, 419 Mountain Park Road, State Road, NC 28676.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Angell family.
