James Wayne "J.W." Arrington, Jr

Mr. James Wayne "J.W." Arrington, Jr. age 35 of Mt. Airy, husband of Sherri Gammons Arrington, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Arrington was born in Surry County December 6, 1971 to Martha Perry Mabe and the late James Wayne Arrington, Sr. Mr. Arrington was a loving husband, father, son and friend to all who knew him. He was employed at N.C. Granite Corp. Surviving is his wife, Sherri G. Arrington of the home; a daughter, Ali Arrington; sons, Dusty Arrington and Adam Arrington all of the home; his mother, Martha Perry Mabe of Mt. Airy; brothers and a sister-in-law, John and Sheila Arrington; Wilbur Arrington all of Mt. Airy; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rodney and Samantha Gammons, Tim and Donna Gammons; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Frances Gammons; Nanny Versie and special friends, Lynn and Eddie Knighten all of Mt. Airy. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 27, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Verlon Combs and Rev. Dewayne Sands. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice at 401 Technology Ln., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
