James Ernest Bledsoe

Mr. James Ernest Bledsoe, age 83, of Dobson passed away at his home on Monday morning July 24, 2006. Mr. Bledsoe was born in Surry County on May 1, 1923 to the late John William Bledsoe and the late Geneva Dinkins Bledsoe. In ddition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter Sharon Bledsoe Hudson; six brothers; one sister. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law Norma and Jimmy "Bo" Woodring of Dobson, Debra Jones of Dobson; three sons Ronnie Bledsoe of Dobson, Jeffrey Bledsoe of Dobson, and Harold Bledsoe of the home; by six grandchildren Aaron Jones, Brad and Amanda Bledsoe, Candi and David Branch, Neil Hudson, Jr., Amber Woodring, Hannah and Brad Burkhart; four great grandchildren; by three sisters Mary Ruth Beck, Ola Newman, and Stacy Jenkins all of Dobson; by one brother Sherman Bledsoe also of Dobson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Curtis Ponder and Rev. Mark Newman will officiate the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 PM. Moody-Davis Funeral Service, Inc.
