Mr. James Gregory "Meatball" Brady, 55, of 1836 Bradley Road, Pinnacle, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011, at his home. Mr. Brady was born December 27, 1955, in Surry County, to the late Robert Percy and Kay Collins Brady. Mr. Brady retired from Penn Engineering. Surviving are his wife, Janice Martin Brady of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Misty and Travis Bruner of Mount Airy and Casey Brady of King; a son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Rachel Brady of Rural Hall; two grandchildren, Kylie Bruner and Luke Bruner; a brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Nancy Brady of Pinnacle; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Rada Martin of Westfield; two sisters-in-law, Rhonda Landreth of Winston-Salem and Janet Jessup and her husband, Dale Jessup, of Westfield; and a brother-in-law, Mike Martin and his wife, Amy Martin of Westfield. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Rickey Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. One of Meatball's last requests was that all of his car friends bring their cars to his last cruise from Moody Funeral Home to Oakdale Cemetery. Flowers are welcome and the family wishes to thank Hospice and Palliative Care and Families in Need Organization of Westfield for all their love and concern during Meatball's illness.
