James William Goins

Mr. James William Goins, 81, of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018, at Northern Hospital of Surry County.  Mr. Goins was born in Patrick County on June 17, 1937, to the late Willie and Ethel Columbia Goins.  He was retired from Cross Creek Apparel.  He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Goins; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Gray Gwyn; grandchildren, Jennifer and Ben Grumbach, Kimberly and Justin Snow, Allison and Jac Creed; great grandchildren; Ellie Grumbach, Lydia Grumbach, Noelle Snow, Jonah Snow; a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Robert Bowman; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Mildred Goins; a special nephew, David Schmidt.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Goins was preceded in death by a son Herbert Dean Goins; a brother, Bobby Goins.  A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
