James Denzer Griffith

Mr. James Denzer Griffith, age 79, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  He was born in Botetourt County on September 24, 1940 to the late Denzer and Georgie Underwood Griffith.  Left to cherish his memories are a wife, Shirley Martin Griffith of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Mary Lou Griffith, sister and brother-in-law, Linda Griffith Martin and Leon Martin; brothers, Howard, Wayne, David, Kenneth, Raymond and Junior Griffith as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Vipperman and Irene Cochran.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Rev. Shawn Draughn.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the funeral home.
