James Franklin Hall

Mr. James Franklin Hall, 71, of 128 Hunt Lane, Cana, VA, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, September 1, 2006. Mr. Hall was born November 15, 1934, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Vance and Nancy Belle Tate Hall. He was retired from Cross Creek Apparel and was a member of Pauls Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara McMillian Hall of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Garry Creed of Mount Airy and Tammy and Barry Jones of Cana, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Marsha Hall of Cana, VA; three grandchildren and a spouse, Jessica and Heath Montgomery of Mount Airy, and Cody Jones and Casey Jones, both of Cana, VA; six sisters and a brother-in-law, Vera and Paul Lytton of Radford, VA, and Verna Crotts, Cora Edwards, Frances Edwards, Annis Hall, and Debbie Combs, all of Cana, VA; a brother, A.D. Hall of Cana, VA; a sister-in-law, Dora Belle Hall of Cana, VA; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Jack McIntyre and Don Gray, both of Cana, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. Grover Curtis Hall, Sr. The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 3, 2006, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Larry Jones and the Rev. Darrell Tate, and burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
