James Edward Haynes

Mr. James Edward Haynes, 75 of Mount Airy, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Haynes was born on January 30, 1946, in Galax, Virginia to the late Herbert and Margie Davis Haynes. . James was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 47 years, Sharon Hale Haynes; a son, Chad Haynes; one sister, Margie Haynes Leftwich; three sisters-in-law and spouses, Debbie Lowe and Avery, Carol Felts, Linda Bond and Robert; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by a brother, Foynoy Franklin Haynes. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Galax City Cemetery in Galax Virginia with Rev. Michael Combs and Kelly Haynes officiating. No formal visitation will be held. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
