Mr. James Martin “Jimmy” Inman, age 71, of Dobson, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice home in Dobson. He was born May 4, 1949, in Surry County to the late Willie Martin Inman and Bessie White Inman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his half-sisters, Ila Marsh, Mozelle Key and Nellie Tilley. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Betty Moss Inman; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Stacy Inman; grandson, Bailey Inman; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Jimmie Stone; a special niece, Beth Atkins; special great-nieces, Brooke Atkins, Brynna Atkins; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Don and Brenda Snow. Before his retirement, Jimmy served his community as a member of the Surry County EMS Department and the Surry County Sheriff’s Department. Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2020, from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 P.M. in Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Brad Quesinberry officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Inman family.
