James Lewis Johnson

Mr. James Lewis "Buck" Johnson, 47, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011, in Goldsboro. Mr. Johnson was born June 12, 1963, in Surry County, to Georgia Ethel Culler Johnson and the late Oliver Lee Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Georgia Ethel Culler Johnson of Mount Airy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Susie and Randy Jones of Cana,VA, and Karen Whitby of Atlantic Beach; nephews, Tyler Johnson and his wife, Brandy, Scotty Jones and his wife, Courtney, and Ryan Jones; and great nieces and nephew, Candice and Caleb Johnson and Rayne Jones. In addition to his father, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Sue Johnson. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Blue Ridge Tabernacle, with the Rev. Noel Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in the Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of his mother, Georgia Ethel Culler Johnson, 123 Lynnhaven Road, Mount Airy, on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the Johnson family.
