James "Lenwood" Marsh

Mr. James “Lenwood” Marsh, 84, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at his home.  He was born in Henry County, VA on July 22, 1935, to the late Jim and Hassie McCraw Marsh.  Mr. Marsh retired from the Lilly Company, and was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends.  He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shelby Hardy Marsh; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Randy Nichols, and Tammy and Rodney Hamm; grandchildren, Ashley and D.J. Montgomery, Matthew and Rebecca Nichols, Jonathan and Alex Hamm, Joshua and Leslie Hamm; great grandchildren, Paisley Montgomery, Jessie Hamm, Sadie Hamm, and Waylon Hamm; a brother and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Versie Marsh, and Orene Marsh; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lynn Marsh; sisters, Margaret Pack, Woolsie Badgett, and Marie Harris; a brother, Otis Marsh.  A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Community Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Edwards officiating.  For those wishing to pay their respects may do so Saturday from 2:00 until 5:00 PM at Moody Funeral home in Mt.
