James Troy Martin

Mr. James Troy Martin age 92 of 1704 Asbury Road, Westfield, NC, widower of Dorothy Mae Martin, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Martin was born in Carroll County on July 26, 1914 son of the late Edgar Arthur Martin and Ida Largen Martin was retired from Proctor-Silex Corp and was a member of Faith Gospel Church. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, James Ed and Beulah Martin of Westfield; a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Martin of Westfield; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Ruby Martin of Mt. Airy; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Martin of Mt. Airy. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a son, Claude Martin; a grandson, Jimmy Martin; a brother, Elbert Martin; two sisters, Dessie Martin and Hassie Martin Haynes. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Bill Gammons and Dr. David Sparks. Burial will follow in the Largen Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:30 AM until time for the service.
