James Ulmer Moore Jr.

Mr. James Ulmer Moore, Jr. age 72, of Dobson, NC, passed away on Friday morning September 4, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.  He was born in Nashville, GA on June 26, 1948, to the late James Ulmer Moore, Sr. and to the late Agnes Murray Moore.  He was a retired reservation specialist for American Airlines and a member of Dobson First Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Carl Andrew Moore and James Ulmer Moore, III.  Surviving is his wife Ann Norman Moore; daughter Heather Moore; son Troy Oblinger; sister, Linda Moore; and nephew, Jason Hickman.  James enjoyed his dog, Musha, playing golf, and FSU sports. He was a decorated Marine and a staunch Republican. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 7, 2020, in Dobson City Cemetery, with Rev. Cory Honeycutt officiating.   Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no formal services held at the funeral home.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Moore family.
