James Morgan "Jimmy" Snow

James Morgan "Jimmy" Snow, 73, of Mount Airy, North Carolina passed away Friday, September 13, 2024. Born November 4, 1950, in Surry County to the late Woodrow Wilson and Virginia Sturms Snow. Mr. Snow was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He retired from Surry County Parks and Recreation; in his early years he enjoyed coaching little league baseball. He was a man of many nicknames, he was known as Rocky, and Gabby just to name a few. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandra W. Snow; daughter, Melanie Poteat and fiancé Benji Burnette; son, Adrian James "AJ" Snow; grandchildren, Keely Greenwood, Hunter Snow and Olivia, and Haley Ashburn and Cody; great grandchildren, Tyde Snow, Finn Snow, and Jett Ashburn; sisters and brother-in-law, Beverly Parker and Steve, and Barbara Collins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Preston Snow, Charles Snow and Cathy, and Mary W. McCrary; as well as his "Little Buddy," Clutch. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Snow. A graveside service will take place Monday, September 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation; the body will lie-in-state until time of the service. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Snow family.
