James L. "J.L." Morrison, Jr

             Mr. James Leroy “J.L.” Morrison, Jr., age 63 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Martinsville on April 13, 1959.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Leroy Morrison, Sr.  J.L. was the owner/operator of Grass Roots Landscaping.  He was of the Baptist faith, and he loved his Red Poll Cattle and Anatolian Shepherds.

          Surviving is his son, Maj. Justin Morrison of Wilmington, NC; his mother, Barbara Williams Morrison of Stuart; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

          Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
