Mr. James Edward Odum, 66, of Mt. Airy, went to his Heavenly Home, Tuesday, March 23, 2021. He was born in Forsyth County, January 9, 1955 to the late Roy Joseph Odum and Ethel Corine Browder McCraw. Mr. Odum retired as the owner of Odum Lawn and Tree service, and the minister of Laurel Bluff Baptist Church due to his declining health. He was a loving husband, devoted dad, #1 grandpa and great grandpa: a good brother, friend, and all-around good man. He loved his Lord and Savior and always tried to encourage others. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patsy Viola Edwards Odum; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Ricky Culler, Amanda and Danny Leftwich, Jessica and Rodney Hawks, and Jeana Odum; sons and a daughter-in-law, Brandon Odum, and Cecil Dean and Brandy Odum; grandchildren, Maegan Hodges, Dakota Hodges, Santana Cruz and husband Ryan, Laiken Leftwich, Logan Leftwich, Devan Odum, Haley Odum, Payton Odum, Emily Odum, Jayden Upchurch, Finley Odum, Adrian Odum, Deanna Odum, Jedda Hawks, Jetlee Hawks, and Janessa Hawks; great-grandchildren, Caden, Mason, Jaxon, and Nik; sisters, Patricia Midkiff, Diane Woods, Janet Odum, Nancy McGee, Sandy Kopack; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Della Odum, Ervin and Frankie Odum, and Roy Odum. In addition to his parents, Mr. Odum was preceded in death by a sister Kathy Tate. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Laurel Bluff Baptist Church with Rev.
