Mr. James Edward Quesinberry, 84, of Mount Airy, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, February 21, 2021. He was born in Surry County on April 25, 1936 to the late Prince James Quesinberry and Ollie Mae Venable Quesinberry. He was retired from United Plastics after 39 years of service. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years, Claudine Holyfield Quesinberry; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Ron Chilton; a daughter-in-law and her husband Clara Quesinberry-Matthews and John; 4 grandchildren, Samuel Chilton, Chelsea Q. Matthews, John Matthews, II, and Jacob Matthews; a sister, Becky Robtison; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Quesinberry was preceded in death by his son, Chris Edward Quesinberry; and by 4 brothers, Lonnie Venable Quesinberry, Kenneth Ray Quesinberry, Ralph William “Joe” Quesinberry, and Russell Lee Quesinberry. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Marty Reece and Ron Chilton officiating. Mr. Quesinberry will lie-in-state at Bear Creek Baptist Church from 2:00PM until time for the graveside service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Quesinberry family.
