James "Ron" Graham

Mr. James “Ron” Graham, age 79, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025 at his home. He was born on May 29, 1945 in Mecklenburg County to the late Charles Graham and Ruby Sanders. Mr. Graham had a love for watching sports, playing golf, fishing and coaching children’s baseball. His favorite way to start the day was with his second family at Ocie’s Restaurant where his order was just called “The Ron”. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Vance Graham; children, Jeff Graham (Lysa), Theresa Graham Emma (Chris); grandchildren, Regina Crea (Mike), James Graham, Sofia Emma, and James Emma. In addition to his parents Mr. Graham was preceded in death by a sister, Vickey Lingerfelter. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the funeral home. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Mountain Valley Hospice for the dedication and care given to the family during this difficult time.
