Jane Elizabeth Knudsen

Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Marshall Knudsen, 67, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Knudsen was born April 2, 1952, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Conduff and Ivil Mae Willard Marshall.  She was employed by the Surry County Sherriff’s Department, where she worked as a secretary.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jerry Snow; a son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Sherry Montgomery; her grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeremiah Edwards, Lindsey Montgomery and Jarad Payne, Cheyenne Montgomery, Abby and Shaffer Ester, Melody Montgomery, Grace Montgomery, Emily Montgomery, and Katie Montgomery; her great-grandchildren, Ayden Bennett, Kynslee Bennett, Kaylie Adkins, Kiera Adkins, Destiny Adkins, and Dixie and Betty Edwards; a sister, Wanda Kay Goins; and a brother, Michael Marshall.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Knudsen was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Knudsen.  The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, with Dr. Jonathan Barker officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
