Mrs. Jane Naylor Roberson, 93, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday morning, February 2, 2025, at Brookridge Retirement Community. Mrs. Roberson was born June 29, 1931, in Wilkes County, one of three daughters born to the late Frank Austin Naylor, Jr. and Nora Myers Naylor. Jane is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Jim Crossingham of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Pattie Roberson of Roaring Gap; her grandchildren, James and Schmidty Crossingham, Austin Crossingham, Wesley and Megan Roberson, and Justin and Laura Roberson; and her great-grandchildren, Georgia Paige Crossingham, Nora Crossingham, J. Henry Crossingham, Jasper Crossingham, Scout Crossingham, Kathryn Roberson, Kennedy Roberson, Olivia Roberson, Graham Roberson, and Wyatt Roberson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by her husband, James William Roberson; and her sisters, Ann Kirkman (Grady) and Mary Rhoades (DeWitt). Jane dedicated 35 years of her career to Wake Forest University. Not only was she an employee, but she also completed her education there and supported Demon Deacon athletics for many, many years. Jane spent most of her adult years raising her family in Winston-Salem, where she was a member of College Park Baptist Church. A private service of remembrance will be held for her family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to College Park Baptist Church, 1701 Polo Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106; or the Brookridge Retirement Community Benevolence Fund, ATTN: Angela Price, 1199 Hayes Forest Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love, care, and compassion shown by the staff at Brookridge Retirement Community. Also, the family expresses their gratitude to the congregation at College Park Baptist Church for their prayers, visits, cards, foods, words of comfort, and acts of kindness during Jane’s sickness and since her passing. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
