Janet Lee Smith Bridgeman

Mrs. Janet Lee Smith Bridgeman, 43, of Dobson, departed this life on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Wake Forest Medical Center after a long and courageous battle of cancer. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on May 7, 1969 to Roy Eugene LaVerne and Patricia Ann DeVor Smith. Mrs. Bridgeman was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of twenty one years, James Bridgeman of the home; three sons, B.J. Murphy, Aaron Bridgeman and Christopher Bridgeman, all of the home; her beloved father-in-law, James Bridgeman also of the home; a sister-in-law, Vickie Craddock of Allen Park, MI and a brother-in-law, Dennis Bridgeman of Dearborn, MI. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Grace "Monga" DeVor; her paternal grandparents, Lloyd L. and Hazel Ruth Copeland Smith and her dear mother-in-law, Diana Bridgeman. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 7 pm on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Fairview Baptist Church by Dr. Andy Atkins. There will be no formal visitation.
