Janet Marie Lyles Childress

Mrs. Janet Marie Lyles Childress, age 76, of State Road, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.  She was born in Surry County on April 7, 1946, to the late Carlie Robert Lyles and the late Marie Wright Lyles.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Childress.  She was a retired Seamstress and was a member of Charity Hill Baptist Church.  Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Tim Danley; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Audrey Childress; grandchildren, Casey Childress, Skyler Childress, McKenzie Danley, Ethan Danley; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Allen Turner; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Ann Lyles; sisters-in-law, Amy Jo Childress, Linda Childress, Sue Childress; several special nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Charity Hill Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.  Rev. Brian Cardwell and Brother Bobby Lyles conducting the services.  The family will receive friends at Charity Hill Baptist Church from 12:00 Noon until time of her service at 2:00 PM.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Childress family.
