Janet Lynn Gammons

Mrs. Janet Lynn Collins Gammons, 71, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  She was born in  Surry County on July 19, 1950, to the late Samuel and Minnie Mae Hill Collins.  Mrs. Gammons retired from Rock Tenn and was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mama and granny who will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry Arnold Gammons; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Johnny Riley; a son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Gina Gammons; grandchildren, Abram Gammons, Caleb Gammons, Zoe Riley, and Walker Riley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Roxie Collins, Sammy Collins and Rita Clendenin, Earl and Pam Collins; many niece, nephews and cousins.  A funeral service will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Hooker and the Rev. Alton Bledsoe officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 272 Oak Grove Church Rd., Mt.
