Janice Faye "Pat" Scott Mabe

Janice (Pat) Scott Mabe of Mt Airy NC, went to her heavenly home at 11:53 am, July 31st, 2024, from the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Pat was born Jan 4th, 1951—one of three children to the late Terry and Eara Scott of Mt Airy NC.

Patti was a nickname given to her by her Irish grandmother at birth and it stuck with her all her life. Raised in a home with all her family gathered around the piano singing Southern gospel hymns, she found her passion. She started singing with her sister in local bands and then formed Sisters and Company. The band played all over North Carolina and Virginia entertaining tens of thousands of people. This is where Pat's love, energy, and talent shined. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Steve Mabe, and children, Cory Holder (Gail), Bryan Mabe, Staci Mabe, and Eddie Mabe. Grandchildren, JD Holder, A. Chase Edwards (Haley), Reece Pearman, Charli Ellington (Stephen), Ryan Mabe, Blake & Ashton Mabe. Nephew Tanner D’Amico.

In addition to her parents welcoming her home, Pat was preceded in death by 2 siblings and their spouses Mary Ann D’Amico (Phillip) and Dennis Mike Scott. Patsy Cline had better watch out. Now that Pat is in heaven, the angels will question their singing abilities.
