Janice Riley Jarrett

Janice R. Jarrett passed away peacefully on July 28, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Janice resided in Ivyland, PA., Hilton Head Island, SC, Ashburn, VA., and Mount Airy, NC. Her family would like to remember her for the lives she touched, the animals she rescued, the art and music she loved and the inspiration she often was to others. “I believe in the potential of each little soul born into this world who is reaching out for love and guidance. Sometimes there is no one there to help, so I feel it is the mission of those who can help to pass on the good stuff. That good stuff may be in the form of love, or the knowledge gained from mistakes – whatever it is you need to pass it on.” Janice served as the President of the Bucks County Big Brothers/Big Sisters board, following her passion all the way to the National Level. She volunteered with Graterford State Prison, Aid for Girls, Sunshine Kids, Big Brother/Big Sister and numerous Art Leagues. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Elsie Riley and her sister, Nancy Mueller. She is survived by her children Lloyd N. Reeves (Hallie Reeves), Holly B. Reeves, Alison R. Johnson, Porter E. Reeves (Vicki Reeves), Kristin Bendien (Tom), Jeff Jarrett and a family full of grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family plans to have a private gathering in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Big Brother/Big Sisters of Bucks County, 2875 York Rd., Jamison, Pa. 18929 (bbbsbc.org) or the charity of your choice. The Jarrett family wishes to thank the entire staff of Ridgecrest Retirement Community for their love and care given to Ms. Jarrett during her stay there.
