Janie Whitaker Hamlin

Mrs. Janie Whitaker Hamlin, age 73, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on December 26, 1947, to the late Audrey Cockerham and Oma Whitaker Holyfield, who survives. Janie attended Salem Baptist Church and retired from the Surry County Clerk of Court’s Office. Surviving is her husband, Folger Lee Hamlin. The family will hold a service for Mrs. Hamlin at a later date. No services will be held at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Hamlin family.
