Jason Lee Edwards

Mr. Jason Lee Edwards, 35, of Mount Airy, husband of Brenda Brady Edwards, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Edwards was born June 18, 1973, in Surry County, son of Elder Woody Edwards and Carolyn McCann Edwards. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Brady Edwards of the home; a daughter, Maggie Ann Marie Edwards of Siloam; his parents, Elder Woody Edwards and Carolyn Edwards of Mount Airy; two step-sons, Michael Dewayne Brady of Mount Airy and Gary Ray and wife, April Brady, of Sanford; three step-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Delone Cockerham of Lowgap and Lorrie and Tony Berrier of Cana, VA; a brother, Adam Edwards of Mount Airy; a niece, Emily Grace Cockerham of Lowgap; and a nephew; Dillon Patrick Cockerham of Lowgap; aunts, Teresa Holderfield of Galax, VA, and Denise Tate of Mount Airy; special uncle and friend, Troy Edwards of Stuart, VA; and a special cousin, Scott Tate of Lowgap. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 9, 2008, at 3:00 PM at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by Elder Woody Edwards, Elder V.J. Hawks, and the Rev. Ivan Tate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church on Sunday from 1:30 PM until time for the service.
