Jason Harris

Mr. Jason Benjamin Harris, 43, of Ararat, VA, passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Saturday, March 20, 2021.  He was born in Montgomery County, VA, June 9, 1977, to David Thomas Harris, Sr. and the late Mabel Elizabeth Dulaney Smith.  In addition to his mother, Jason was preceded in death by his wife Marti Goins Harris.  Jason worked as a diesel mechanic and truck driver.  He was a wonderful father, brother, and friend.  He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Miranda Jo and Justin Schoolcraft, and Morgan Goins; a grandson Brayson Adkins; his father and stepmother, David Thomas Harris, Sr. and Yvonne Harris; and stepfather Rodger Smith; “the last love of his life”, Teresa Lowe; a sister, Ann Harris; his brothers and sister-in-law, David T. “Buddy” Harris, Jr., and Mark J. and Micki Harris; special friends, Eric Smith, and Cam Johnson.  All services will be private.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
