Jasper Murphy Doss

Mr. Jasper Murphy Doss age 86, formally of 6304 Hwy 268, Dobson, NC passed away at his son's home in Thomasville, NC on Friday evening November 16, 2007. He was born in Surry County on February 3, 1921 to the late John Murphy Doss and the late Lucy Elizabeth Johnson Doss, in addition to his parents he was preceded by his wife Lula Viola Sneed Doss, two sons Robert Lee Doss and James Clayton Doss; by one grandchild; three sisters Minnie Crissman, Mary Baker, and Lillian Bullin; one son Hassell Doss. Mr.Doss was a retired Farmer and Furniture Factory worker. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law Odell and Elizabeth Doss of Thomasville, NC; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law Jesse and Pearl Doss of Dobson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday November 19, 2007 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Rockford Baptist Church Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Rev. Melvin Wills. The Family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Sunday evening from 7 until 9 PM.
