Jeanette Easter

Mrs. Jeanette Mayes Easter, 85, of Mt. Airy, passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, Sunday, December 13, 2020.  She was born in Carroll County, VA, November 5, 1935, to the late Lacy Jacob and Novella Stanley Mayes.  Mrs. Easter retired from Renfro and was a faithful member of Crooked Oak Moravian Church as long as her health permitted.  Mrs. Easter was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to many.  She would always greet you with a warm smile, a welcoming tone, and an invitation to a delicious home cooked meal.  Mrs. Easter will be fondly remembered by her loving children, Catha Stroupe, Ruth Wilson and Bob Barrett, Donna Stowe and Jeff, David Easter, and Dale Easter; her adored twelve grandchildren; and cherished twenty-one great grandchildren; her sister Hazel Woods; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Easter was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Ray Easter; a granddaughter, Blake Edwards; sisters, “Sis” Easter, and Lola Johnson; and brothers, Frank, Thad, Bud, and Leo Mayes.  Due to health concerns at this time all services will be private.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
