Jeanette Hooker

Mrs. Jeanette Cox Hooker, 78, of Westfield, passed away on Saturday, November 17 2018 at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living in Mt. Airy.  She was born April 19, 1940 to the late Porter Elmer and Rena Novella Love Cox.  Mrs. Hooker and her husband Duaine were the owners of Westfield Superette for thirty-four years before retiring from the business.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Duaine Hooker of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Gwen and Paul Hampton, Duainette and Kyle Cullum; son and daughter-in-law, Gray and Janet Hooker; grandchildren, Rena Hooker, Breanna Hampton, Miranda Hampton, Christian Hampton, Brayden Cullum and Olivia Cullum; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Stewart Heath.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Hooker was preceded in death by a son Timothy Duaine Hooker, an infant sister as well as another sister, Ophelia Smith.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Westfield Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Ricky Rogers and Dr. Joel Stephens.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
