Jeffery Wayne Bowman

Mr. Jeffery Wayne Bowman, age 58, of Mount Airy, passed away unexpectedly on Monday June 26, 2023, at his home.  He was born in Surry County on December 15, 1964, to the late Bernard Bowman and Nancy Burkhart Johnson.  He was self-employed as a jack of all trades, and he was a huge Duke Blue Devils and NASCAR fan.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Patricia “Pat” McBride Bowman of the home; a son, Jesse Bowman and fiancé Madison Swinney; grand fur baby, Ruby; sisters, Bonnie Collins and husband Emerson, and Lisa Tate; brothers, Tommy Burkhart, Donnie Bowman, Dale Bowman, Duke Boyd, and Tony Boyd; mother-in-law and father-in-law, CJ and Thelma McBride; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Boyd.  Graveside services will be held on Friday June 30, 2023, at Slate Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00AM with the Rev. Rusty Reed officiating.  There will not be any formal visitation for Jeffery.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
