Jeffery Kirk Holt

Mr. Jeffery Kirk Holt, 56, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.  He was born in Surry County on May 23, 1962 to the late Dewey Holt and Barbara Childress Holt Moore.  Mr. Holt was self-employed in Deep Foundation Drilling, and was a member of Grace Moravian Church.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather who will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends.  Mr. Holt served our country in the United States Marines.  He is survived by his wife, Melanie Gardner Holt of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Megan and Matthew Simpson, Martha Holt all of Mt. Airy; a son, John Holt of Mt. Airy; a grandchild, Rosie Simpson; a sister, Gina McKinney of Mt. Airy.  Funeral services will be held Monday, August 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Neil Routh officiating.  A private burial will be held at the Laurel Heights Farm Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
