Jeffrey Lane Gage

Mr. Jeffrey Lane Gage, age 62, of Advance, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Jeff was born in Athens, Texas on December 8, 1961 to the late Horace Victor Gage and the late Bonnie Faye Young Gage.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Gage was preceded in death by a son, Jason Lee Gage and a sister, Vickie Faye Nugent.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Ai Feng Cheng whom he was married to for over 16 years; sons, Joshua Victor Gage, Justin Gage and his wife, Kassi; grandchildren, Kayden Lane Gage, Tyler James Gage, Alyssa Karen Gage, Bryson Lynn Gage, daughter, Misty Gage Hiatt; grandchildren, Sierra Hiatt and her fiancée Billy Hazelwood, Riley Gage; great-grandchild, Hakeem Hazelwood; sister, Pattie Lynn Gage Collins and husband, Tommy; special niece, Anna Heimer; special nephew, Michael Collins and his wife, Cindy; several other nieces and nephews as well as his dear friends Kenny and Toni Rayburn. 

Jeff fell in love with his beautiful wife Ai while on a work assignment in China and convinced her to come to America.

Jeff loved the outdoors and especially loved to hunt and fish with his sons. On one Outer Banks fishing adventure with Josh, they caught 150 lbs of Mahi Mahi. He also enjoyed gardening and lawncare which inspired Justin to start his own lawncare business. Jeff was a very caring husband and father making sure his family knew they were loved and how proud he was of them.

He loved cooking thanks to his sister, Pattie and her husband Tommy who always cooked up a Texas feast every 4th of July. He was the kindest neighbor and a loving friend to many.

Jeff was very close to his co-workers at Unifi in Yadkinville where he was employed for 28 years.

Funeral services for Jeff Gage will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Dodd and Rev. Tony White officiating.  The family will receive friends on Monday prior to the service from11:30 am until 1:30pm.  The burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery in Elkin, NC.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Gage family.
