Jeffrey Maxwell Thomas

Mr. Jeffrey Maxwell Thomas, 50, of Holly Avenue, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Thomas was born September 3, 1959, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Marvin and Pauline Breedlove Thomas. He was employed by Ottenweller and a member of the Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are a daughter, Holly Thomas of Mount Airy; a son, Jeffery Travis Thomas of Mount Airy; a sister, Connie Wallace of Mount Airy; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Sandra Thomas, Jim and Judy Thomas, and Bryan Thomas, all of Mount Airy. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Tommy Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
