Jennifer Renae Collins Lewis

Mrs. Jennifer Renae Collins Lewis, 31, of 3129 Westfield Road, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Lewis was born December 13, 1975, in Forsyth County, to Gary Collins and Anita Avara Collins Smith. Jennifer was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Anyone who met Jennifer loved her instantly. She is survived by her husband, Gary Lewis of the home; two precious children, Gary Lewis, Jr. and Magan Renae Lewis, both of the home; her mother and stepfather, Anita and Stephen Smith of Lowgap; her father, Gary Collins of Mount Airy; two brothers, Justin Collins and Brandon Collins, both of Mount Airy; a special nephew, Lane Collins of Mount Airy; a special brother-in-law, Robby Lewis of Mount Airy; her maternal grandparents, Bill and Estelle Avara of Mount Airy; her paternal grandparents, Gilmer and Etta Collins of Mount Airy; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Allen and Irene Lewis of Mount Airy; a loving uncle, Billy Avara; three aunts, Bonnie, June, and Peggy; and several cousins. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Dewayne Sands and the Rev. Todd E. Byrd, and burial will be in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the ICU staff of Forsyth Medical Center, the second floor nurses and CNAs of Northern Hospital of Surry County, two special friends, Pat Weatherman and Margo McBride, a loving great aunt, Deborah Hiatt, the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, Dr. Jan Kriska, the staff of Salem Chest Specialists, and Dr. Greene Chandos for their love, care, and kindness shown to Jennifer during her illness. The family would also like to their sincere gratitude to their many friends and the support of the community during this time.
