Jerri Lynn Fylpa

Jerri Lynn Fylpa, age 65, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in the home of her granddaughter. She was born in Texas on October 10, 1959 to the late Bill Wharton and Beverly Wharton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Douglas Donald Fylpa Jr. 

To know Jerri was to know love. Jerri, also known as “Momo”, was a caretaker at heart. She enjoyed and found purpose in life caring for the ones she loved. She was an avid crafter, home designer and gardener. She was the best cook, and enjoyed making everything from scratch. She found joy in listening to music, dancing in the living room with her husband, and playing board games with her family. 

Momo was famous for her quirky facial expressions and one-liner comments and jokes. She always knew how to make everyone laugh, never taking any situation seriously. She always knew there was a brighter side to every situation.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Pettit; a son, Douglas Fylpa III; grandchildren, Allie Keatts (Donald), Ragan Tawney, Lauren Goad (Austin), Aedon Wiley and Jase Wiley; great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Rylan, Rylee, Colton and Emberlynn; and sisters, Jean Luyendijk (Rudi), Janet Shepherd (Sharyn) and Bonnie Wharton.
