Jerry Price Bell

Mr. Jerry Price Bell, of Cana, VA, passed away in his sleep on Saturday, January 16, 2021.  He went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 67 years old.  Mr. Bell was born June 28, 1953, in Sampson County, the son of the late Adrian Price and Ella Francis Marshburn Bell.  Jerry was greatly loved, and he loved his family fiercely.  He enjoyed spending time with everyone at any holiday.  Jerry had a passion for upholstering furniture, having done it his entire adult life.  He worked as an upholsterer at Vanguard Furniture in Hillsville, VA.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy Carol Hiatt Bell of Cana, VA; a daughter, Stephanie Bell Layne of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Justin Hicks and Jacob Rowe; three great-grandchildren, Jackson Hicks, Weston Hicks, and Talon Rowe; a stepdaughter and her husband, Kimberly and Greg Cooke of Mount Airy; a stepgrandson, Kirby Cooke; three sisters, Joan Bell of Asheboro, Sherry Brady of Sophia, and Gloria Pace of Charlotte; a brother, Clarence Ray Bell of Asheboro; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ernest and Barbara King of Trinity; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Bell was greeted in heaven by an infant daughter, Natasha Bell; a sister, Katherine Hicks; and a brother, Dean Bell.  Jerry wished to be cremated upon his death.  Due to public health concerns, there are no local services planned at this time; however, a memorial service will be held at a later date.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
